Artha Gyan is 3 - 3.5 hour workshop which will be conducted for youngsters, in particular College students and Working professionals.In these times of recession, and job layoffs its indeed unfortunate that educated students / professionals are not only totally dependent on jobs, but the thought of losing it or not getting a job, is making them panic. Parents and teachers are worried that their students even after getting a good degree are not able to get the desired job. Even working professionals, who are laid of are left clueless and end up taking drastic steps. Its indeed ironical that people study, work there entire life earning money, but do so little to understand how money works. Where to invest, how to invest, what to invest in are not taught anywhere in the education system. This workshop aims to fill the void in financial education and entrepreneurship attitude, which is not taught in current curriculum.

The workshop contents are on the following lines :

1. How ones dependency on salary and promotions can leave you high and dry. Understanding your personal Finances.
2. Attitude of an Employer and a Employee.
3. Understanding Corporate Structure - how to use it to become an entrepreneur
4. What in reality is Entrepreneurship - Is it just about making money.
5. Why one doesn't become an entrepreneur - Skills required
6. Acquiring Venture Capital and Angel Investor Funding - the process.


This workshop has so far been conducted workshop for a group of Entrepreneurs, Experienced IT professionals and deserving college students (IIT and AnnaUniversity students participated), totaling around 300 people and has received great response.
